I need housewife HELP!

Can I have an AMEN??? Nanny, check. (But basically only when I need to cook or something), oh yeah and a cook who can help me on that whole area, but only so I can clean more. Yes, and then a cleaning lady to keep up on all the little things that pile up. But just so I can play with the kids more! Right??? I guess that leaves nothing. Hm...not sure that would work out....

But really?? I need help. Really really do. I can't BELIEVE I actually thought that staying home with my kids (I only had 1 at the time, too!) was "hard"? I laugh at myself now. I sure was stupid. I had all day to clean, all day to run to the store, all day to plan my dinner & maybe even marinate the steaks, all day to clean up...naptime was plenty of time to get caught up on everything. That was the. life. I miss it soooo much.

It sure would be nice if all of us mommies had the luxury of staying home. Once you start working though....you better hope you never wanna stop because it's pretty much impossible. Well, unless you don't even technically "need" the income. Trust me, my butt wouldn't be workin at crappy Walmart if I didn't need it! Ohhh believe it! I know, it sure is hard to believe I don't love Walmart.

Thank the Lord we don't have to wear those stupid things.

My weekends off are my favorite (which I only get twice a month) because I get SO many things done, I usually get to actually cook once or twice...or even ALL the meals! SHOCKER. I put away piles of mail & important papers, I pay some bills, maybe even spend time with my kids...ugh. This job sucks the life outta me. Walmart has a way of doing that to anyone though, for reals. My reg. schedule is as follows--Work 8 freakin days straight...then 1 day off...then work 1 day...then 1 off...then work another day...then off a weekend. Oh YEA and then on for another 8 DAYS!!! AGHHHH!!!

Kay, done ranting now. I kinda totally forgot what the main point of this post was but I believe it had something to do with needing help with recipes? How did this tangent get started?

Anyone have any great websites for SIMPLE recipes, like that I could accomplish after work while 2 hungry kids scream at my ankles? Or maybe some you already have written down somewhere? please, please, email me or post here! This woman is losing her mind.

I can't really think straight right now (super tired) but I promise I'll come back with ideas once my mind is working properly.

My favorite I get home @ 6pm need to have everyone fed washed and in bed by 8pm receipe is Tacos

1lb of lean chop meat or turkey
1/2 bag of frozen corn
1 can of beans ( i rotate between kidney, black and pinto)
1 jar of your favorite salsa
wraps or tortillas
taco fixin's of choice

season and cook chop meat/turkey to taste (I use a little Sazon)
- If you use anything less that 93% lean, drain the meat.
add frozen corn, beans(if you use canned drain and wash before using) and salsa
cover and simmer until corn is tender.

I TOTALLY know how you are feeling about how hard it is to work and take care of the house, kids, life, etc. I constantly remind myself of how hard it was to work when I have bad days at home. I think about how lucky I am and remember to never take it for granted! I worked for 3 years of being a mom and I have no clue how I survived. I give you lots of credit for working so hard for your family. I truly think a working mom has the hardest job. Working ALL day and then coming home and working more. Barely sleep, and then get back up and do it all over again.
Hang in there, you can do it! Sure sounds like you're doing a good job of it. :)

I like the website www.eatathomecooks.com. She posts easy simple recpies. A quick tip - brown your ground beef ahead of time and freeze in 1 lb portions. Great to pull out to use in a quick meal like tacos or sloppy joes. You can cook ahead chicken as well to use in casseroles etc. I enjoy reading your blog. I am a working mom with 3children so a lot of your posts really rang true to me as well. You are a great inspiration -
